2015/16 PILOT PROJECT - VICTORIA PARK
Photos by - Matt Gibbs & Gayleen Froese
In an effort to create more ways for Edmontonians to celebrate instead of hibernate next winter, we want to create more free, fun, family oriented opportunities to enjoy the frostiest time of the year in Edmonton.
Nestled in the heart of the City's river valley, the FREEZEWAY PILOT took advantage of the onsite ice making expertise, beautiful river valley, and the convenient central location at the Victoria Golf Course. The Pilot was a 400m trail, with concepts being developed for next year. There's potential to grow to over 3.5km in length in the future. The trail merges off of the existing speed skating rink, and will feature artwork form lighting designer Dylan Toymaker.
Come check out the new park pavilion, and join us for the winter solstice at the FREEZEWAY PILOT Grand Opening. Help us make history. Spread the word!
Looking forward to seeing you this winter.
Sincerely,
The Friends of the Freezeway
